Job Title: Nursing Assistant

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Nursing Assistant will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent care to patients. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient conditions, and help ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility.
  • Take and record vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
  • Provide basic wound care, such as cleaning and bandaging wounds as directed by nursing staff.
  • Help patients with exercises or range-of-motion movements as directed by the medical team.
  • Assist in positioning patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Monitor patients’ conditions, report any changes, and document observations in patient records.
  • Assist with patient intake and outtake measurements, including food and fluid intake.
  • Maintain patient hygiene and cleanliness of their environment.
  • Support patients emotionally and offer comfort during treatment or medical procedures.
  • Ensure that patient privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
  • Assist nursing staff with medical procedures or tasks as needed.
  • Prepare patient rooms for new admissions and ensure they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Follow infection control practices and ensure a safe, hygienic environment for patients.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Completion of a Nursing Assistant training program or certification (preferred).
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred).
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or patient care setting (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing quality care.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices (preferred).
  • Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and assisting patients.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and transfer patients, as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients for extended periods.
  • Comfortable handling physically demanding tasks and emotional situations.
